Big In Japan!

Fans of the band in the Far East are doing a wonderful job in promoting A.C.T and the band's music is reaching more and more people thanks to the hard work of these dedicated fans.
Hiromi Takatsugu has been working hard on getting the message out to the Japanese people and started her act-imaginary-friends.net site with the band's permission in the Spring of 2003.

Hiromi is now well known to many A.C.T fans around the world and made a second trip to Europe last winter and visited the UK and Holland to meet with many friends. Her dedication and enthusiasm for A.C.T is incredible and we hope she will be supporting the band for many years to come. |

During her visit to the UK she stayed with Linda & Trevor
who had kindly opened up their home as the AAUK HQ was moving
to a new location
During her stay, she prepared for us a traditional Japanese meal which we all enjoyed! This was followed by a post meal 'Herman' work out, with Katie and Hiromi showing us some of Herman's finest moves Sadly the trip was all too short, but we know Hiromi will return and we look forward to seeing her back again soon. |

The band has enjoyed good exposure in Japan with all three
albums gaining a release there on Avalon / Marquee, often with
additional tracks to those on the rest of the world.
Burrn Magazine has been a long time supporter of the group and the band and their albums have even featured in the official charts. The band members have also been regulars in the readers and writers annual polls. We also have a constant flow of merchandise headed east and the band would love to reward the Japanese fans with some shows as soon as it become possible - now that would make a great dvd! |

Recently, a Japanese record chain store called Gyokkodo
(like HMV) started a special promotion with each branch
recommending bands or artists.
Pictured right is Shunsuke a fan working at the branch shop in Obihiro. He recommend A.C.T for the promotion and we are delighted that the band were picked and are now a featured artist right across Hokkaido! Mr. Landlord has been added to a promo CD that the chain has put out, in addition to special in store promotions for A.C.T this summer |
